Tips From The Master Brewers...

Tips for that perfect cup...

Have you wondered why the coffee you brew at home never tastes quite like the cup from your favorite coffee house? Follow these hints from the master brewers, and you will enjoy a world class cup of coffee right at home.

  • Buy your coffee in whole bean form, and grind your beans just before brewing. Ground coffee loses its flavor within hours. Fresh-roasted whole bean coffee can be stored in airtight glass or ceramic containers in the freezer for up to three weeks. However, the fresher the beans, the better your coffee tastes. For optimum results, purchase only what you will brew in the next few days.
  • Always use the correct grind for the brewing method you use.
  • Freshly drawn cold water makes the best brew (in some areas filtered water may be necessary).
  • Make sure the coffee brewer and server are clean and thoroughly rinsed.
  • Pour the coffee into a thermal carafe as soon as the brewing cycle is complete. This maintains coffee temperature while preserving taste and aroma.
